Oh my the Semester is DONE!!!!!

It seems that once again I have scraped through another semester at Wayne State University. Making it only one more class and I will have a MASTERS Degree. Never thought you would see the day DID YA??
I guess having the "Year" off from working has one up side.

The bad news is that Unemployement is OVER and I have to get a job. ANY JOB....
I have hit Ritz and begged and pleaded for someone to take me.
I applied to a couple of schools, but those are mostly for the fall.
I have been applying to all kinds of office positions over the last several months, but none of those panned out either.
Guess it is time to Hit the Mall. When all else fails, hit the retail. Hopefully all the other college kids have not stolen all the jobs.

Other strange things....

There is a radio station that Tom likes to listen to - 95.5 in Detroit. I probably listened once upon a time. They are doing a BLING contest. So, Tom made me email in my ring. I'm not sure if I gave them the right information, other than the picture, but we'll see. So, you have to go to the sight and vote on MY ring. http://2004.channel955.com/mojo_engagement_ring_idol.html

That should get you to the page where the rings are. Now if you don't remember, my ring is GREEN and WHITE, (does that remind you of anything?) It should put my first name with the ring. Right now it is two rings that were up yesterday. Change it already!

Guess that is it for the moment.

Although Carrie has a great MEME going on her blog and Then on his April 20th Post - Matt has a great bit on Old English and therapy for Lady Macbeth.
If you like a little high brow humor, it is good.

Oh, and just a note - Save the Date - June 24th 2006 - Birthday party bonanza happening at our house. More to come, email me if you need directions...

Drowning in Homework...

I feel sick.
I feel literally sick... (maybe it was the peanut butter kisses....)
I have so much homework to finish for Thursday before 3pm.
This is my last week of school for the semester at Wayne State. I have one final exam on Monday and I would rather take 3 of those than do this project that is sucking the life and fun out of me at the moment.
It is SOOOO not fair (it's my own fault that I procrastinate) that my last week of school is spring break when my friends are off work... arg
I got 1/4 or more of the project done today. Maybe I'll finish tomorrow.
Talk to everyone after Thursday night...

DO you know what today is????

TODAY is our Anniversary...
2 Years.

Yes, I can hardly believe it myself.
Tom made this picture for me the other day and I really like it.
I hope you do too.

Spring, it really is here.

Before I forget.
Paul and I decided that yesterday was the official first day of spring on Our personal calendars.
Why?
Could it be because it was Paul's birthday and we wandered around all day?
Could it be because the weather was nice and we had ice cream?
( I could come up with more, but on a school work deadline, sooo.)

It was because, as we were driving around yesterday, we had the first official SPLAT of a bug on Paul's windshield.
That is our definition of the first day of spring!

Piggie Update

I know, forever talking about Guinea Pigs.....

But this is important. I own a Guinea Pig that is Allergic to HAY.
What could be more depressing than that?
I took Winslow to the vet and he was wheezing when I got there. Hmm, he had been fine before hand. Well, he rode in a carrier filled with HAY. We checked his white blood cells in his snot. At least we only stuck a slide on his nose this time.
He had allergy cells. FIGURES.

I have to change his type of hay, and shake out all the little loose stuff, especially the Dust.
As long as he doesn't lose weight again, he should be ok.

School - ok I have like 2 weeks left of College classes and major projects to do. DON'T invite me out. Too many things to do. I think I have to go to Detroit to actually get some work done. ewwww
Talk to you later, I have to run.

What God are you?

Ok, So everyone else took the test and I was really interested in what it would say about me.
So, here is what mine came out to be on the old god test..
Hit Tales of a shrink or Carrie's blog to get the link.
Thoth
Indeed, you are 70% erudite, 62% sensual, 41% martial, and 33% saturnine.

Thoth, the Egyptian God of secret wisdom, intellect, geometry and other forms of higher mathematics, was also the God of books and learning, of writing and numbers. And above all, he was the God of Magic. Indeed, he was the first and greatest of all magicians, said to create miracles from nothing by the mere vibrations of his voice alone.

Within his main temple were said to be stored his books of magic which were open for the edification of all, providing those absorbing this magic understood its sacred content. Over the centuries, these books were said to have been carefully translated by various priests of secret orders until finally, the Greeks compiled them as the works of Hermes Trismegistus.
One book most everyone is familiar with which is attributed to the mysteries of the God Thoth is the Tarot, considered to be an unbound book of symbols that may be read in an endless variety of sequences imitating the random nature of existence itself.

The Fifteen Gods
These are the 15 categories of this test. If you score above average in …
…all or none of the four variables: Dagda. … Erudite: Thoth. … Sensual: Frey. … Martial: Mars. … Saturnine: Mictlantecuhtli. … Erudite & Sensual: Amun. … Erudite & Martial: Odin. … Erudite & Saturnine: Anubis. … Sensual & Martial: Zeus. … Sensual & Saturnine: Cernunnos. … Martial & Saturnine: Loki. … Erudite, Sensual & Martial: Lug. … Erudite, Sensual & Saturnine: Coyote. … Erudite, Martial & Saturnine: Hades. … Sensual, Martial & Saturnine: Pan.

PLEDGE, will you?

What a week. It is Thursday and I feel like I have gotten nothing done, but I haven't been home at all..... If you check out Naarah's blog you will see where I was on Monday. After I dropped her off at home, I went to school downtown. Such fun, the traffic on 94 was YUCK....
I had to take 8 mile from M-10 to get home. They have 696 messed up between Southfield road, all the way out to Orchard Lake.
So, if you need to get to anywhere near 696 and Telegraph, or to get on the Lodge, you better take 12 mile or another mile road to get there. It looks like it will be messed up at the MIXING BOWL for months.

Tuesday I spent 4 hours at Michigan Radio in Ann Arbor, answering phones for the NPR Pledge Drive. We did really well, we only missed ONE goal the whole morning. They made all the ones before I got there and we only missed the Noon one by one lousy person. I think they made it up yesterday when I tuned in, they added a little goal to the end of one our and it certainly covered what we had missed. The best time to call is during a matching hour (any amount), or the new member drive (if you can do $100). I want to do the Day sponsorship in the fall. Then April will be up on the Calendar, can you guess what will go there?
Hmm, the number you ask - 888-258-9866.

The possibilities -
Ah from last post. This is still very up in the air.... I have had contact with someone at a school, but whether it goes anywhere is certainly up in the air at the moment.
